Pre-Treatment & Planning Guide

Pre-Treatment Care for NOUVADerm Laser Resurfacing

✅ For four weeks prior to your visit, strictly avoid heavy sun exposure, tanning beds, and spray tans.
✅ One week before your appointment, speak with your physician or Dr. David before stopping any prescription medications, and strictly avoid alcohol.
✅ Stop all retinoids, glycolic acids, and blood-thinning supplements to minimize recovery complications.
✅ Arrive with an entirely bare face, and wash your hair beforehand since you won't be able to get your face wet for a few days.
✅ Plan for three to ten days of clinical and social downtime, with warm, pink to red skin on day one.
✅ By day three, skin will have a dry, sandpaper feel and begin to gently slough off — do not scrub or pick at it.
