Plasmage
Class 2B-rated plasma technology precisely addresses acne scars, moles, skin tags, and warts — safe for sensitive areas with minimal risk and natural-looking results.
Class 2B medical device rating
Plasmage carries a Class 2B medical classification, reflecting its clinical validation and safety profile for lesion removal on multiple skin areas.
Precision removal with minimal risk to surrounding tissue
The controlled plasma arc targets only the lesion itself, leaving the surrounding healthy skin unaffected — critical for sensitive locations.
Treats multiple lesion types in a single visit
Plasmage can address a range of surface lesions including acne scars, skin tags, moles, and warts within the same treatment session.
Safe for sensitive areas
The contactless delivery mechanism and adjustable intensity make Plasmage appropriate for treating lesions in anatomically sensitive locations.
Natural-looking outcomes
The layered, controlled ablation approach minimizes the risk of scarring or pigmentation changes that can result from less precise removal methods.
Also known as
Plasmage delivers controlled plasma energy directly onto lesions such as skin tags, moles, and scar tissue, causing precise sublimation of the target area without affecting surrounding healthy skin. The treated tissue is removed layer by layer with each pulse, allowing the provider to control the depth and extent of treatment for each specific lesion. Because the plasma arc does not make direct mechanical contact with the skin, the risk of trauma to the surrounding tissue is minimized. The treated area heals progressively over one to two weeks, revealing the underlying skin as the micro-crust naturally separates.
Why is Plasmage safer and more precise for removing skin tags, moles, and scars than freezing — and does it hurt?
✅ Unlike freezing, Plasmage lets Dr. David see exactly what gets destroyed at the moment of treatment — no guessing, no waiting to see what falls off.
✅ The beam is extremely narrow and precise, making it safe to work right next to sensitive structures like the eyelid and lip line.
✅ Surface lesions can often be removed without leaving any mark. Deeper lesions are assessed individually for the safest removal approach.
✅ Most removals are one and done — Dr. David can see on the spot whether the lesion has been fully removed.
✅ A bandage may or may not be needed depending on how deeply the skin barrier was involved — determined at the time of the procedure.
✅ Regrowth is uncommon because the goal is complete removal of the entire lesion.
✅ Completely painless — topical numbing is applied first, followed by a small numbing injection if needed. You will not feel the injection because the topical comes first.

VIDEO TRANSCRIPT (CONDENSED):
Q: Why is plasma safer than traditional freezing for skin tag and mole removal?
Dr. David: With traditional freezing, you cannot precisely control the depth of tissue damage and have to wait weeks to see the final result. Plasmage uses a fractionated plasma beam that fires the moment the tip comes close, allowing me to see exactly what tissue is being vaporized in real time and immediately determine if more is needed.
Q: Can you safely remove a skin tag right on a sensitive eyelid or along the lip line?
Dr. David: Yes. The plasma beam is extremely narrow and precise. This allows us to work in very tight quarters and remove only the exact lesion tissue without affecting any of the healthy, sensitive skin nearby.
Q: Will removing a lesion leave behind a permanent white mark or physical dent?
Dr. David: If the lesion sits purely on the surface, we can remove it without leaving a mark. If it extends deeper into the skin layers, we carefully assess the best aesthetic approach to ensure the surrounding tissue retains its natural pigment and heals completely flush and clean.
Q: Does lesion removal take multiple sessions, or is it a one-and-done procedure?
Dr. David: Most of the time, it is entirely one and done. Because I can see exactly what has been vaporized during the treatment, I know immediately when the lesion has been fully and completely removed.
Q: Do I need to wear a bandage over the area while the skin heals?
Dr. David: It depends entirely on how deeply the skin barrier was involved, which we determine right at the time of the procedure. For surface-level removals, a specialized topical healing application is often all that is needed.
Q: Is there a chance the skin tag or mole will grow back later?
Dr. David: It is highly uncommon. Our primary medical goal is absolute, complete removal of the tissue. While leaving residual cells behind is technically possible, it is very rare with this precise technology.
Q: Does the removal process hurt, and do you use numbing?
Dr. David: We ensure a completely comfortable, pain-free process. We apply a potent topical numbing cream first, followed by a small, localized numbing injection if necessary—which you won't even feel because the topical cream is already working.
